Raise Your Hand Texas Calls on Texas Legislature to Pass STAAR Reform Legislation Impacting All Texas KIDS
Raise Your Hand Texas hosted a Measure What Matters Day at the Texas Capitol on April 18, 2023. The day included a press conference, visits with every legislative office in the House and Senate, and an art installation demonstrating the importance of STAAR reform legislation. The art installation showcased over 2,500 rulers from advocates across the state who shared what they believe should be measured by our public school accountability system. The art installation highlights the importance of measuring a more well-rounded set of indicators in advancing a KIDS-centered approach to testing and accountability in public schools.
