AnaMarie Cordova

AnaMarie
AnaMarie Cordova has joined Raise Your Hand Texas as a digital communications intern for the summer. She is pursuing a bachelor’s in government with a minor in communication and social change at the University of Texas at Austin.
During her freshman year, she joined Hook the Vote, a non-partisan organization, where she discovered the transformative power of communication in shaping discourse. This experience motivated her to take on roles such as deputy communications director and eventually communications director for the University of Texas Student Government. During her terms, AnaMarie led content and media planning for the organization, navigated hardships, and facilitated accessibility training for social media.
Beyond campus, AnaMarie has worked as a communications intern for the University of Texas System and Smart City Policy Group. The internships allowed for a diverse work experience including policy research, newsletters, writing articles, content curation, and much more. This gave her insights into strategic communication in both educational and policy-driven environments. With this experience, she hopes to catalyze change and advocacy for public education during her internship.
