Jackson Griffon joined Raise Your Hand Texas in 2021 after serving in the Texas Legislature, as both a staffer and legislative director for three legislative sessions. A native of Friendswood, Jackson hails from a family of educators, and he has now shifted his skills and talents towards building a pro-education constituency in the East Houston Gulf Coast Region.
During his tenure in the Texas Legislature, Jackson championed and collaborated on legislation that focused on enhancing pensions for public educators, creating equitable pathways to institutions of higher learning for students placed in at-risk settings, and making sure our public schools are equipped with the tools and resources they need to provide a high-quality education for all students.
Jackson brings passion, knowledge, and understanding around public education policy to the Raise Your Hand Texas Team. Jackson is a proud Red Raider, having earned his bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Texas Tech University in Lubbock. Jackson’s pride and joy is his beautiful wife Katherine.
