Niurka Diaz

Niurka Diaz joined Raise Your Hand Texas in August 2024 as the executive assistant and office manager, supporting the leadership team and staff. Originally from New York City, she relocated to Austin in 2022 and brings more than five years of leadership experience.

Diaz’s passion for education stems from her experiences attending public schools in both the Dominican Republic and New York City, where she witnessed the disparities in education firsthand. Her journey has inspired her to be part of a team working to create meaningful change for future generations. She is eager to contribute to high-level strategic decisions while providing exceptional support to help impact the lives of the 5.5 million public school students in Texas.

When she’s not working, Diaz enjoys exploring Austin, trying new restaurants, and connecting with local communities.
